May 3rd 2020 will remain as a memorable day in the hearts of the Parish Family members of St. Mary’s and Sacred Heart. After a long period of the absence of spiritual nourishment finally we could come out of our caves of lock down and breathe a little spiritual fresh air in our parking lot. As the part of the first phase of the reopening the Churches the Bishop allowed us to gather for any outdoor prayer meetings or adoration, So with a short notice to the Congregation a Eucharistic Adoration was arranged on May 3rd. We didn’t want to wait longer in May as we had in mind the May Crowning in honor of our Blessed Virgin which we do every year with joy. Everybody was amazed by the overwhelming response of our people. People got only two days to prepare themselves for this event. The parking lot was arranged in such a way that all could park their cars and sit inside and listen to the prayers and pray. There were more than 60 cars present each having two or more members; For lack of place a few had to park in the street who too could hear well. Thanks to the personal interest of Joe Jazz, the proprietor of Custom Technology we had a very good PA system. And there was added beauty in the celebration as our choir members presented an outstanding performance in singing, especially the Divine Mercy Chaplet. We started with a short greeting and welcome followed by the May Crowning of the statue of Mary. Thereafter, our Nation was dedicated to the Blessed Mother. As it was the Easter Season, next the sprinkling rite took place. And also the Palms were distributed since we could not celebrate the Palm Sunday this year. The one hour Adoration was concluded with the Benediction and the Eucharistic Blessing was given to everybody by Fr. Sebastian who took the Monstrance walked between the cars, blessing the people. No doubt, it was an awesome spiritual experience for all those who participated in it. You will see a few pictures attached to this short note.
